I’m a qualified (AIPM, CPPM) Senior Project Manager with over 15 years’ experience project managing the design development and construction delivery of Capital Works/Infrastructure projects.
I’m also experienced in programme management of capital works, including contract governance/due diligence. In addition to the above I’m a qualified Primary School Teacher, and still hold registration.
Predominately I have worked across Local Government and more recently the Commonwealth Defence space servicing WOL project requirements across different states and territories.
I’m experienced in end-to-end project and programme management which includes business case writing, facilitating/managing cost estimation, design phase development (safe/sustainable design principles), VM/Risk workshops, community consultation, procurement, contract governance and construction handover. I’ve also successfully facilitated a Commonwealth Parliamentary Works Committee hearing.
Working in Government I assisted in master planning/superintendent activities relating to development and construction new residential sub divisions headworks (water, stormwater, sewer, electrical, water sensitive urban design, roads, acoustic and landscaping) This involved close collaboration with local councils and environmental groups, plus the procurement and management of the design consultants. In addition, I delivered an iconic seawall upgrade, and assisted in the design/construction of road duplication/upgrade projects.
I am passionate about sustainable design and I’m working towards becoming a Green Star Associate of the Green Building Council of Australia.
Currently, I’m working closely with Lend Lease to facilitate the completion of the Design phase for a unique Airforce. As with all my projects, timely and considered stakeholder engagement has been key.
During my time at Coffey I’ve been proud to have worked and successfully collaborated with some fantastic clients and colleagues.
I’ve always found that possessing an eye for detail and validating user requirements is critical to the success of any project. We are not experts in everything, so always ask questions.
